Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in student homes and provide care, supervision, and mentorship for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided and benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement savings, paid time off, and housing/meal provisions. This is a two-person, married-couple role; both spouses must apply individually. Proficiency with Youth work and a strong commitment to student development are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
