Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person role) for Milton Hershey School, residing in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation of students to activities, and development of students’ academic, emotional, and social growth. Responsibilities include managing household routines and student schedules, leading devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and planning/developing recreational and developmental activities. Schedule initially consists of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a fixed houseparent living with the same group of students in their own home. Includes relocation to Hershey, PA, with on-site housing and comprehensive benefits; relocation assistance provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Two-person role for couples
