Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person couple) live in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA and later Placed Houseparent role, providing care, supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Work schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, medical/dental/vision, retirement, PTO, and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married duration (two spouses)
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to reside and work in on-campus homes with students
- Two-person team requirement for couples
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No more than three dependent children in the home
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
