Job Summary
Milton Hershey School is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents to reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, guidance, and support for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and budgeting/household reporting. Schedule initially consists of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role model for students
- Access to paid relocation and training
- Ability to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services

- No more than three dependent children in home
- On-campus live-in requirement
