Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) provide supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes at Milton Hershey School. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle and transitions to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided with benefits and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Legally married for at least two years (two-person role)
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Age 27 or older per spouse
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Relocation to Hershey, PA
