Job Summary
Full-time two-person Flex Houseparent role on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA, where married couples reside in student homes to provide care, supervision, and mentorship for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, supervising household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning/developing development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and supporting homes with a nine-on/three-off schedule transitioning to a placed houseparent in the same student home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Completed individual employment applications by both spouses
- On-campus housing experience or willingness to live on campus
