Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School: couples reside in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide mentorship, manage routines and schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, lead devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, with a nine-on, three-off cycle transitioning to a placed houseparent. Requires married couples, both spouses employed individually, relocation to Hershey, PA area, and on-campus housing benefits. Includes comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance; high school diploma or GED required; driver’s license and ability to drive student vans; lifting up to 50 lbs; 27+ years age minimum per spouse; devotion leadership in Judeo-Christian services; 2-year marriage, no more than three dependent children in the home.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
