Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapels, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Initially rotating through multiple homes on a nine-days-on/three-days-off cycle, couples will eventually transition to living and working with a single student home. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided along with comprehensive benefits and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Willingness to complete individual employment applications for both spouses
