Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to supervise 8–13 students, provide care, mentorship, and guidance, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, with a work schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; eventual placement as a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same student group in their own home. Benefits include salary per person around $46,917 plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
