Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and development support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; progression to Placed Houseparent living with the same students in their own home. Relocation provided with paid training and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
