Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents reside on Milton Hershey School campus in Ellaville, GA (relocation to Hershey, PA required) to supervise and support 8–13 students in a home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with future placement as a dedicated Houseparent living with the same student group. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
Additional Requirements
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
