Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: a married couple residing in on-campus student homes to supervise and support 8–13 students, providing care, guidance, supervision, and development opportunities. Responsibilities include daily supervision/mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided; benefits include comprehensive insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
