Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: a married couple resides in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and housing reporting. The role begins with a nine-on/three-off schedule across multiple homes and can transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with a single student group. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Demonstrated ability to drive student home vans or obtain certification to drive
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Two-person couple requirement to apply individually
