Job Summary
Student Support Caregiver role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes to supervise, mentor, and support 8–13 students, managing daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, and guiding spiritual practices through daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Initially 9 days on duty followed by 3 days off, with progression to a placed houseparent in the same student home. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits provided; salary per person is $46,917 (approximately $180,000 total per couple when including housing and benefits). Requires on-campus housing availability, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a structured, safe residential environment for youth.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-spouse, married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading students in devotions and Chapel services
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
