Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in student homes, provide supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, with a nine-on/three-off initial schedule and eventual transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Requires a high school diploma or GED, experience with youth, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and being part of a legally married couple for at least two years; relocation to Hershey, PA is provided along with housing on campus, comprehensive benefits, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse two-person role required (married for at least two years)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Relocation to Hershey, PA and on-campus residence included
- Willingness to lead daily devotions and accompany students to chapel
- Ability to manage budgeting and household reporting
