Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to provide daily supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, then may transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students in their own home. Relocation is provided. Benefits include salary per person around $46,917 (approx. $180k total per couple) plus comprehensive benefits and paid relocation/training.”,
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse employment
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
Additional Requirements
- Needs to be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the home
- No alcohol on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
