Job Summary
Milton Hershey School is hiring married couples for Full-time Flex Houseparents who reside on-campus to supervise and support groups of 8–13 students. The role involves daily supervision, mentorship, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and progressing from a Flex Houseparent to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. The position operates on a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle, with unscheduled time when students are in school, and relocates to Hershey, PA with comprehensive benefits and relocation support.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for married couples (legally married for at least two years)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role involves living and modeling for students
