Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes, supervise 8–13 students, provide mentorship and activities, administer medications, transport students to activities, lead daily devotions and chapel, manage household routines and reporting, and transition from a nine-days-on/three-days-off cycle to a placed houseparent arrangement. Requires married couples with at least two years of marriage, both spouses aged 27+, relocation to Hershey, PA, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED required
