Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus at Milton Hershey School to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students in a family-like setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living in the same student home. Benefits include salary per person ($46,917) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Employment requires a married two-person couple, both spouses age 27+, and eligibility to drive student home vans.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services
