Job Summary
Flex Houseparents provide care, supervision, and mentorship for 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, with a rotating nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a placed home with the same students. Benefits include salary per person (~$46,917) plus relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement, and paid time off. Requires two married spouses, both 27+, to apply individually; on-site housing and full-time schedule at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, with relocation support.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
