Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on Milton Hershey School campus in a student home, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, guiding daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a dual-home assignment to a Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; role emphasizes a structured, family-like living environment and ongoing student development. Required are a high school diploma or GED, a legally married two-spouse team for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, ability to lift 50 lbs, valid U.S. driver’s license, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty; relocation assistance and paid training provided.

- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
