Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents role at Milton Hershey School, located on campus in Hershey, PA, providing care, supervision, and guidance for groups of 8–13 students in a family-like home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent living arrangement with the same student group. Benefits include relocation assistance, full benefits, paid training, and housing accommodations. This is a two-person, legally married couple role; both spouses must complete individual applications. Salary: $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 total per couple when including housing, meals, utilities, etc.).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year married couple eligibility
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying students to chapel
- Experience with youth volunteering/working
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
