Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparents role at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes to supervise ~8–13 students, provide care, mentorship, and support, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental activities and devotions, and oversee budgeting and reporting. Schedule initially 9 consecutive days on duty followed by 3 days off; later transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group. Includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits. Requires a legally married couple, both spouses age 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license and ability to drive student vans, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Two-year married couple minimum
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
