Job Summary
Flex Houseparents: Full-time, two-person couple living on campus at Milton Hershey School, providing care, supervision, and guidance for a group of approximately 8–13 students in their home. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine-on/three-off schedules to a placed houseparent role with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person around $46,917 (approx. $180k total per couple with housing/benefits), relocation assistance, comprehensive health coverage, paid time off, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
