Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside on-campus in student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentoring, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule across multiple homes, with eventual placement in a single student home. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, and paid time off. This is a two-person, legally married-couple position requiring both spouses to complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year marriage requirement
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel
