Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents living on-campus at Milton Hershey School to supervise and mentor 8–13 students in a family-like home. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, with an initial schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, transitioning later to a Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. Benefits include relocation assistance and paid training; requires a legally married two-spouse team (both applicants must complete individual applications), with high school diploma or GED and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse role must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
