Job Summary
Two-person married couple to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. The role involves living in on-campus student homes, supervising 8–13 students, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The schedule starts with a nine-on, three-off cycle, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required; position offers relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
