Job Summary
Student-focused two-person on-campus houseparent role for Milton Hershey School, where a married couple reside in a student home to supervise 8–13 youths, provide mentorship, manage household routines, administer medications, coordinate transportation to activities, and lead devotions and chapel attendance. Responsibilities include budgeting and reporting for the household, planning and engaging students in developmental and recreational activities, and supporting students’ academic, emotional, and social growth. The position begins with a nine-on/three-off schedule and transitions to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Includes relocation assistance and paid training; on-site housing and meals while on duty are part of total compensation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement for two-person role (married for at least two years)
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
