Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents for on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in student homes (approximately 8–13 students) and provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support, including daily routines, medications, transportation to activities, development and recreation planning, and leading daily devotions and Chapel visits. Initially working nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent in the same student home. Benefits include salary per person (~$46,917) with total compensation for a couple around $180k, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid training. Requires married spouses, ages 27+, and eligibility to obtain driver’s license and drive student vans.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role modeling for students
- Ability to relocate to on-campus housing in Hershey, PA as part of employment
- Completed individual employment applications for both spouses
