Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus at Milton Hershey School and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8–13 students in a family-like home. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, conducting daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role begins with a nine-on/three-off schedule across various student homes and transitions to a placed houseparent arrangement living with the same group of students. This position offers relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive benefits, and housing while on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-person role for couples who are legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Comfort leading daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
