Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) living on-campus at Milton Hershey School to care for 8–13 students in a home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, budgeting and household reporting, with an initial nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule and eventual placement as a dedicated houseparent for a single student home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
- Desire to reside on-campus in on-site student homes
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to follow campus policies on smoke-free and weapon-free environment
- Ability to drive student home vans
- Released to obtain required certifications as needed
