Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus at Milton Hershey School to provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students in a home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, administering medications, organizing schedules and activities, driving students to activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, budgeting and reporting, with an initial nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, transitioning to a placed houseparent living with the same group. Benefits include salary per person around $46,917 plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Requires both spouses to submit individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for married couples
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Relocation assistance and paid training provided
