Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) live on campus at Milton Hershey School and provide care, supervision, and mentoring for about 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, managing student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent role. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, experience with youth, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty. Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years, be at least 27 years old, and complete individual applications. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; on-campus housing and meals during duty are included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year marriage minimum
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans

- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
