Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus at Milton Hershey School and supervise a group of approximately 8–13 students in a family-style home. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine-on/three-off schedules to a placed houseparent arrangement. Requires HS diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license with potential to become certified to drive student vans, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA. The role is a two-person couple position, with both spouses completing individual applications. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA
- Proven integrity and professionalism in roles involving youth
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
