Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. A two-person married couple will reside on-campus in student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students, including daily supervision, routines, medication administration, transportation to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, daily devotions, and participation in Sunday Chapel. Responsibilities also include budgeting and household reporting, with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule during the initial phase, transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided, along with comprehensive benefits and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
