Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside on-campus in student homes (Sharonville, OH posting location) to provide supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of about 8–13 students. Responsibilities include managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with relocation to Hershey, PA. Benefits include salary per person of $46,917 (approx. $180,000 per couple), relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Two-person role for married couples
