Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent role. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student vans, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the commitment of both spouses who are legally married for at least two years and at least 27 years old. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits provided; on-campus housing included. Prolonged on-duty schedule is nine days on, three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to lead students in devotions and chapel services
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
