Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person couple) reside on campus at Milton Hershey School to supervise and guide groups of 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, plan developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions, and oversee budgeting and reporting. The role transitions from initial placement in various student homes to a fixed student home, with a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle, and requires a strong commitment to youth development, a smoke- and weapon-free campus, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Requires a legally married couple (both spouses 27+) who can complete separate applications; relocation assistance is provided, along with comprehensive benefits and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person couple must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
