Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students, including administering medications, coordinating routines and schedules, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle across multiple homes before transitioning to a placed houseparent, living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required, with benefits including housing, meals on duty, comprehensive health insurance, retirement options, paid time off, and relocation assistance. The position requires a legally married two-person team, both spouses aged 27 or older, and adherence to campus policies.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
