Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, supervising and guiding 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, planning developmental and recreational activities, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially supporting various student homes on a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent role with a stable student home. Benefits include salary per person (~$46,917), comprehensive health benefits, relocation assistance, paid time off, and training. Requires a two-person married couple team, aged 27+, with a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and compliance with on-campus policies (smoke-free and weapon-free). Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for married couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- No smoking and no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
