Job Summary
Flex Houseparents provide care, supervision, and structured, family-like support for on-campus students in houses of approximately 8–13. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting and engaging students in activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and adapting to a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent role living with the same student group. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided, with full-time compensation per person and comprehensive benefits; two-person, married-couple eligibility is required for consideration and both spouses must submit individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Two-person role for couples who are legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
