Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing care, supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, managing student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle, with progression to a placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person (~$44,768; ~ $168,000 per couple with housing and benefits), relocation assistance, medical/dental/vision, retirement savings, PTO, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Willingness to reside on-campus in student homes
- Caregiving/mentorship experience with youth preferred
