Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two married spouses) reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA area and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off and later transitions to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Two spouses must complete individual employment applications
