Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School places married couples on-campus to supervise and support groups of 8–13 students in dedicated student homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, budgeting and household reporting, with a nine-on / three-off duty cycle during the initial phase before transitioning to a placed houseparent in the same student home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse two-year marriage minimum
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. drivers license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- No smoking, no weapons, no alcohol on duty
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Home on-campus residency in student homes for a group of approximately 8–13 students
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and be a full-time Flex Houseparent
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
