Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School live on-campus in student homes to supervise and support 8–13 students. The role involves daily supervision, mentorship, managing routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and working a nine-on/three-off cycle initially with a transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group. Compensation per person is $46,917 annually, with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits included. Requires a two-person married couple, both spouses 27+, high school diploma or GED, US driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and experience with youth; full-time on-campus housing and training provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Desire to lead students in devotions and Chapel services
