Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: married couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide daily supervision and mentorship to a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and accompany Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, with a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule; eventually transition to a Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students in their own home. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided as part of the compensation package along with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
