Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and working a nine-on/three-off schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a two-year marriage minimum with both spouses applying individually.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Proven experience with youth
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
