Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents residing on campus at Milton Hershey School provide care, supervision, and guidance for a group of 8–13 students in a home-like environment. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading development and recreational activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. The role starts with a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule across multiple homes, with eventual placement into a single student home. Requires a two-spouse, legally married partnership, with relocation to Hershey, PA, and a comprehensive benefits package and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year minimum relationship for married couples (must be legally married for at least two years)
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role modeling for students
