Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, mentorship, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with a nine-on/three-off schedule across multiple homes, then transitions to a placed houseparent living with the same students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married for at least two years (two-person role)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person spouse requirement to apply individually
