Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, residing in on-campus student homes to supervise and guide 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance is provided. This role requires a legally married couple (both spouses age 27 or older) who will work together as a two-person team in a structured, family-like living environment with a focus on student wellness, academic, emotional, and social development.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for legally married couples for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
- Relocation assistance provided
- Completed individual employment applications by both spouses
